Psychotherapy according to the Heilpraktikergesetz

Psychotherapy offers support when emotional distress reaches an intensity that sustainably impairs daily life, togetherness in relationships, or the general attitude towards life. Reflecting on biographical events can help to better understand present experiences.

The Systemic Perspective

In systemic therapy, distress is not viewed as an isolated problem of a single person, but as an interaction within a network of relationships. Symptoms or crises function as signals within a system. They indicate that previous strategies for dealing with complex demands are reaching their limits. These processes are made visible in order to open up both the range of emotional experience and new scopes of action.

Therapeutic Collaboration

The basis of the work in this practice is formed by an integrative approach with a focus on systemic therapy. The focus is not solely on the symptoms, but on the entire structure of personal experiences, relationships, and life circumstances.

The role of the therapist is that of an attentive process guide who provides impulses without dictating the direction. It is about reflecting wishes for change on an alert resonant surface, with the pace and depth orienting themselves to personal needs. Profound development is understood as a slowly maturing process – at the same time, every small change can bring about an adjustment of the entire system.

Treatment Focuses

  • Outpatient Aftercare following a Hospital Stay

The return to the familiar daily routine after inpatient therapy often represents a sensitive phase. Outpatient support assists in consolidating and sustainably integrating the progress achieved in the clinic into the personal and professional environment. This work takes place in close coordination with the attending specialist physician or the treating psychiatrist.

  • Dependencies & Addiction

The focus is on clarifying motivation in advance of inpatient or outpatient therapy, as well as on stabilising aftercare following treatment. The goal is to sustainably consolidate relapse prevention in the familiar living environment.
Note: No detoxification or withdrawal treatments are carried out in the practice; these are strictly subject to medical direction and medical supervision.

  • Depression & Exhaustion

When life loses its colour, persistent lack of energy dominates, and interest in daily life fades. When incessant rumination and repetitive loops of thought narrow the perspective, therapy offers support in opening up new perspectives and regaining energy and structure step by step.

  • Anxieties & Worries

Anxiety and insecurity are often valuable signals, but they can also lead to permanent inner restlessness or physical tension and restrict the radius of life. A curious look at the context of these sensations helps to understand their function and to find the way back to more security and trust step by step.

  • Distressing Life Events

Sometimes crises – such as a separation, a loss, or massive changes – throw the familiar path of life off course. When the soul needs time to react to these stressors, therapy offers a stabilising framework to organise the situation.

  • Psychosomatic Complaints

When emotional pressure seeks a voice and the body becomes an expression of the unutterable. When persistent tension, pain, or functional complaints burden daily life without a purely organic cause being evident. A gentle awareness of the interplay between physical experience and current life circumstances helps to understand the body's signals as a guide and to find a new balance step by step.

  • Quality standard

The psychotherapeutic work is oriented towards current professional standards and includes the recommendations of the S3 guidelines. This ensures a well-founded, quality-assured accompaniment – including the joint clarification of whether a specialised or supplementary care offer is suitable for the concern.
